Southerner Jimmy Carter is going to the White House. Born in Georgia, Carter is a democrat with a more open mind. A man who favors racial integration inspite of a majority of white people still living under misserable conditions. Officially, social barriers have been dropped, but racism still exists. If the South is on the rise and if in Georgia average salaries have trippled in the last 15 years, not everyone is benefitting from this economic boom. Perhaps, Jimmy Carter will seriously consider those who are in the lower end of the system's social scales.
