Quebec, Canada, February 1980. The James Bay Project, a series of hydroelectric power stations on the La Grande River in northwestern Quebec, Canada, built by the state-owned utility Hydro-Quebec. The project covers an area of the size of the State of New York and is one of the largest hydroelectric systems in the world, with a generating capacity of 16,527 megawatts. Hydro-Quebec sell his electricity to United States.
